Armed Security responds to unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol. Daily functions typically include controlling site access through an admittance process, preventing unauthorized access to facilities; conversion; theft or intentional destruction of physical assets, and writes incidents reports and property reports about damage and theft. Needs to be in good physical health, have the ability to pass a background check. Individuals in these positions will routinely requite weapons certifications, training, and are required to pass a background check. Preference may be given to those with law enforcement, military or similar experience in the industry.
Armed Security Officer
The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) Armed Security Officer will perform multiple duties at federal facilities.
